Because so much of Israel is above enormous Limestone deposits and bedrock, there are many natural erosional caves from the Galil to the center of the country.  

These caves are a treasure trove of geological features such as stalagtites and stalagmites. Thet are also a ton of fun to explore.

The available caves range from beginer friendly and no rope required to extensive caving via rope techniques to descent and some require ascending the rope to exit as well.
